Protest Incredible Greed.

If you care about animals, if you care about the environment, even if you only care about saving your own bacon, please take a few seconds to read this. 

Ever wonder why you never see pigs (or chickens) running around in farmer’s fields any more?  There are large fortunes to be made by farming animals ‘efficiently’. Unfortunately, there are a few drawbacks: Efficient animal farming techniques and the increased meat consumption they encourage help to produce more greenhouse gases than all the cars and trucks and other forms of transport in the world combined (18% vs. 13.5% according to a little publicized UN FAO report.  A link to the report can be found in our blogroll) and it is necessary to keep animals in incredibly cruel conditions to maximize profits.

Pigs ,  highly intelligent creatures,  are now treated as industrial units, their entire miserable lives spent locked up in cages that do not even give them enough room to lay down without extreme difficulty.  Many break their legs (the breaks usually left unattended) attempting the near impossible.

It is time we started to take back the right to have food on the table that at least had a decent life before it was killed to provide us with dinner. I know some people say they do not like to look at such pictures…but that is what abusers that perpetrate such horrors rely on, and I assure you, there are no extreme pictures on this site.
